Off-Site Day Treatment
Programs: Through local collaboration,
PAAC is the managing partner in
community-based day treatment programs. They are based in
public school buildings nationwide and provide a
self-contained, licensed day treatment
program.
These
programs provide a highly therapeutic setting with the benefit
of being in a public school environment.
Public School Support Program
(PSSP): This program provides school-based
intervention services to assist children, families, and
schools. These services are used to help prevent
out-of-district placements, to assist children in transition
from alternative placements back into their home schools, or
for intensive behavioral support for
students.
PSSP workers also focus on
helping families build positive connections with their child's
teachers and school. PSSP services are
available for all school-aged children and are completely
individualized based on the needs of the child, family, and
school.
The PAAC Foundation:
PAAC (the
"Foundation") was established in March of 1988 as a
non-profit foundation. The Foundation's
purpose is to assist children who have been victims of child
abuse, and to prevent others from suffering a similar
fate.
The Foundation supports
organizations that are involved in the prevention, residential
treatment, emergency shelter, foster care, intervention, and
education regarding child abuse.
The Foundation is supported
primarily through donor contributions, including those
resulting from fundraising activities sponsored by our
corporate sponsors. PAAC pays all costs
associated with fundraising for The
Foundation.
