PAAC Work Program

Mission: To provide work experience, holistic education for the pursuit of better work opportunities, and to serve as a transitional bridge toward better work opportunities for America’s at risk youth, as well as aiding these youth through an obligatory savings plan.

Overview: Through providing occupational opportunities to at risk youth, PAAC prevents the involvement of America’s youth in gang activity, drug usage, and other delinquent tendencies. These occupational opportunities aid youth in establishing habits of goal setting, ethics, and fiscal responsibility, in addition to building self esteem, respect for others, teamwork skills, and occupational responsibility.  PAAC’s work program is continually expanding its involvement in outside organizations that need assistance in meeting their goals, and thereby exposing youth to an increasingly diverse occupational experience.

Youth Work Programs

Retail Water Program: Youth serve the community in booths situated at local storefronts, sporting events, and the Las Vegas Speed Way, retailing crisp bottled water for patrons in addition to soliciting volunteers for the Valley’s first community garden, the Tonopah Community Garden.

Janitorial Service Program: Youth, after being fully equipped with all the skills necessary, work to service the sanitation needs of local businesses, while learning basic cleanliness skills and acquiring an attentiveness to detail.

Flyer Program: Youth are provided with involvement opportunities and wages for solicitation via flyers of participants on behalf of community organizations and local businesses. PAAC, by means of examination, has formed partnerships with these organizations to further its goals of re-igniting the passions and vitality of America’s youth.

Auxiliary Service Program: To better provide at risk youth with a diverse array of work experiences, PAAC operates a temporary proprietary service to local businesses and community organizations. This service allows youth to spend brief spans of time within a wide range of work environments, and therefore aids youth in discerning a long-term career path.
